I am honored to be included in The Land You Stand On: Contemporary Art of Native and Indigenous Identity, a major exhibition presented by the Lyman Allyn Art Museum in New London, Connecticut, from October 10, 2026 through January 24, 2027. This exhibition brings together a diverse group of Native and Indigenous artists whose work explores the profound connections between land, place, heritage, and identity. By centering Indigenous voices and contemporary artistic practices, the exhibition encourages reflection on the enduring presence of Indigenous communities and the ways in which cultural memory continues to shape our understanding of the world. As a Peruvian-born visual artist and cultural advocate, I am grateful for the opportunity to share my work in dialogue with such an inspiring group of artists. My practice often explores the intersections of memory, landscape, migration, and cultural belonging, themes that resonate deeply with the exhibition's broader vision. I extend my sincere thanks to the curatorial team, Cedar Nation, Pattagansett Art Center, and the Lyman Allyn Art Museum for creating a space where art can foster understanding, connection, and respect across cultures.
