      Ephemeral I - Oil on canvas - 60" x 55.5 " - 2024
In Ephemeral, I navigate the fragile terrain of memory, perception, and impermanence. This series is a continuation of my personal journey—an introspective meditation on the finitude of life and the shifting nature of human experience. It exists in dialogue with The Pink House, another body of work that explores domesticity, nostalgia, and the emotional architecture of belonging. Though visually and conceptually distinct, both series are deeply interconnected. They speak to the same core: how we perceive, imagine, and construct our place in the world.
Ephemeral is born from moments when I lose myself in forms, shapes, colors, and movement—when reality dissolves into parallel realms that exist only in my mind. These works are often blurry visions of the future or weak recollections of the past, yet they affirm my presence in the now. They are my way of saying: I am alive, and I am moving forward.
As I grow more aware of life’s fragility, this awareness permeates my practice. The translucent layers, fleeting gestures, and fragmented compositions in Ephemeral reflect the delicate balance between holding on and letting go. It is a visual language shaped by uncertainty, but also by resilience.

"Dance in Blues" - Mixed media on Canvas - 48"x36" , 2021 - "Dance in Blues" represents a revisit to my past works and marks a current phase where I've initiated a parallel series, distinct from "The Pink House Series." Within this artistic exploration, I delve into the influence of unseen forces shaping our world—from the cosmic significance of the Big Bang to the intricacies of human attraction. Rather than providing answers, "Dance in Blues" intentionally raises questions, embracing uncertainty and the irresponsibility of seeking definitive answers in art.

My "Ephemeral" series explore the transient nature of existence, capturing the fleeting moments that define my journey through life. Abstraction gives me the tools to interplay colors and forms, and embodies the essence of impermanence and the continuous cycle of creation and deconstruction. It is perhaps my most mature work, exploring the transient nature of my own existence. As I confront my mortality and limitations, my art becomes more intimate and reflective. The world I was born into has transformed, as have I and my painting over 40 years of uninterrupted practice. My process today is calm, contemplative, and deeply personal. I delve into the forgotten corners and memories that now make sense in a fast-paced world that seldom invites reflection. I pause as an act of rebellion, meditating as I create in the long hours of the studio. When I bring to life the unimaginable, I am overcome with a rush of emotion. As my brush strokes the canvas, I create structures that defy reality, giving form to visions that exist only in my mind. This surreal process fills me with a profound sense of wonder and liberation. It's as if I'm unlocking a hidden universe where the impossible becomes possible, allowing me to explore the depths of my imagination. Each new image is a journey into an uncharted world that exists solely within my art, and this journey is both exhilarating and deeply fulfilling. I chose colors deliberately to evoke the spectrum of my own experience to reflect those moments of introspection and calm. The juxtaposition of these colors creates a visual narrative that mirrors the ebb and flow of my emotional existence.
